It allows run-time changes of MGB parameters while conducting automated tests. frame grabbers are compatible with a wide range of video formats including CAMERA LINK, LVDS, NTSC, S-Video, PAL, and many more. The TCP control socket is mainly intended for integration into a test-automation framework. The MGB also supports a TCP control socket. Timestamps are enabled and configured via the web interface. This use has faded into the background nowadays, as most image processing systems are purely digital. The time base of the MGB is synchronized with the NTP server. Frame or video grabbers were originally developed to convert analog images into digital signals. The timestamp contains either a relative or an absolute time. The TCP video stream supports an optional visible binary timestamp embedded into the video frames. A trigger event can be set via the web interface to control one of the following functionalities: starting up the MGB startup, taking screenshots, and recording video. Trigger events from several sources are supported: 2 external GPIO inputs, a CAN bus event, and the trigger button on the MGB chassis. The MGB has implemented a trigger functionality. The user can configure various parameters, such as network settings, type of interface (GMSL 2/3, LVDS 2/3, etc.), type of video codec (H.264, Motion JPEG, RAW, etc.), properties of an Area of Interest, screenshot frequency, etc. Configuration of the MGB parameters is done via a user-friendly web interface.
